Margaret Covington, 84 of Lewisburg, Kentucky died on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Morgantown Care and Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown, Kentucky.
She was born on Sunday, February 28, 1926 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Baylus Sumner and the late Bessie Whitney Sumner. She was the wife of the late Melvin Covington.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Dunmor Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons, David Covington of Lewisburg, KY, Larry Covington of Russellville, KY, Steve Covington of Sharon Grove, KY, Mike Covington of Dunmor, KY, Ronnie Covington of Hopkinsville, KY, Kenny Covington of Russellville, KY and Troy Covington of Lewisburg, KY, daughters, Ann Spohn of Westville, OK, Darlene Goodman of Lewisburg, KY, Debbie Covington of Lewisburg, KY, Jean Roe of Palmdale, CA, Betty Forgy of Lewisburg, KY, Kathy Irvin of Lewisburg, KY and Brenda Shutts of Lewisburg, KY, brother, Thurman Sumner of Russellville, KY, sisters, Rosa Lee Lyons of Dunmor, KY and Mildred Covington of Dunmor, KY; 31 grand children; 51 great grand children; 5 great great grand children.
She was predeceased by son, Melvin Covington, Jr..
A Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Price Funeral Home, Inc. located at 252 E. Green St. Lewisburg, Kentucky 42256 with Rev. Jeremy Whitney and Rev. Mike Dukes officiating.
Interment will be in Olive Grove Cemetery, Rosewood, KY.
The family will receive friends after 5:00 PM on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Price Funeral Home, Inc., 252 E. Green St., Lewisburg, Kentucky.
