Dear Janet and family,

Thanks to my cousin, Jo Ann, I heard about your Mom. We are wintering in Florida and she keeps me informed on many issues. It seems so long ago, we thought we would stay in touch forever. I do think of you and Dora Faye so very much, I would love for us to get together. I'm sorry about your Mom, she was my teacher for my first 2 years at Hughes Kirk, but I remember her most as your Mom and being welcome in your home. She certainly left her imprint on many young lives and I do think for the best. So in the words of the young ones today...BFF, Alma

Dear Jim and Lisa,
We are so sorry for the loss of your mother. She was so bright and engaging, and we enjoyed meeting her so much at your wedding. She must have been very proud of your character and accomplishments.
We will be thinking of you.

I wish I could have attended the funeral visitation; however, I could not due to prior obligations. My memories of Mrs. Strader are full of fondness. While in her 7th grade class, I first learned I loved reading. Now, I'm a 7th grade reading teacher and hope I help students learn that reading is fun. Her faith in serving God in so many places on mission trips is an even more impacting memory. I hope I always have the desire to serve God wherever He may take me as Mrs. Strader exemplified in her life. I'm thinking of you, family, in your sorrowful time. You are all dear to my heart. May God comfort you.

Mrs. Strader was the consummate professional teacher at Lake Malone Elementary! She strived to give us children the best education that we could possibly achieve and for that I'll always be grateful! Those are memories I'll always hold near and dear to my heart! My prayers are with the family!

Please accept my condolences in the passing of your mother. I will not be able to attend any of the services as my husband and I leave for Hawaii today (Mar 8). I am so grateful that I had Mrs. Strader as a teacher. She made me appreciate literature, especially Shakespeare. She had us memorize passages and then recite them in front of the class. I will never forget one of my most famous pieces from Julius Caesar: "Let me have men about me that are flat", yes I said flat. I don't know who laughed the loudest, my classmates or Mrs. Strader. After we finally stopped laughing, she then encouraged me to continue and correct the statement to "fat" as Julius Caesar had said.
I know that you will miss her, but you know that she touched so many lives in so many ways. All of us are somewhat better having known her.
Much love,
Dora

I was so sorry to hear about Mrs. Strader passing away. I have such fond memories of her and your family at Beech Creek Church. I was also blessed to attend church with her for many years at Dunmor. I admired her Christian values and love of family. May the good memories you have of her carry you through this sorrowful time. Sincerely,

Dear friends, it is with sadness I learned of the death of one of my "other mothers". During my visits with you all during childhood, your Mom treated me like one of her own. What a wonderful Christian lady she was, and what a wonderful legacy she has left to you, her family, and to all her friends. So many memories of visits, making tacos for us, church activities, basketball games, GA's, and all sorts of other outings. We cry for ourselves for those we love who are gone to be with the Lord, yet we must have gladness of heart that she has a glorified body now with her Jesus. All of you, please be comforted by these thoughts, and by the numerous wonderful memories she made for all who had the good fortune to know her.
